Central Otago REAP provides a diverse and extensive educational resource to rural communities, implementing a life long learning approach. The overall purpose of Central Otago REAP is to provide educational support and assistance across all sectors including early childhood, primary, secondary and adult education. Central Otago REAP is a community based flexible resource providing formal and non formal learning opportunities. An annual financial and statement of service performance audit is carried out by agents of the Auditor General.
Central Otago REAP Rural Education Activities Programme is a Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education Commission funded organisation that facilitates educational opportunities in the Central Otago region. REAP operates across the entire community spectrum from early childhood through primary and secondary schooling, to continuing education for the adult community. It is a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation, which is contracted by the Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education Commission to meet a variety of performance outcomes. Central Otago REAP Rural Education Activities Programme believes in providing quality learning opportunities.
To provide the wide range of learning opportunities we receive funding from the MOE and TEC. The overall purpose of Central Otago REAP is to yield educational encourage and assistance across all sectors including hasty childhood, primary, secondary and adult education. During that time she has worked tirelessly with children, parents, and teachers to improve the sector. Enviroschools is a national facilitated programmed which involves a commitment from the total school and school community to Enviro principles. Mary Haney has celebrated 10 years with the Hasty Childhood team for Central Otago REAP.
Literacy learning can take many forms reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, problem solving, numeracy skills and communication technology. REAP’s tutors aim to work from the best practice model, keeping up to date with research data and national guidelines. This programmed is funded and supported by the Central Otago District Council and Central Otago REAP. The Enviroschools programmed fosters in students and school staff a sense of place, connection with, and action in, the environment both spontaneous and built.
Our teachers support the M Fri consultation process within the school community and present professional urge for school staff.
